Now that we are debt free (yes, even the mortgage!) we face an optimistic future where our dreams and schemes can move into the realm of concrete plans. Reply Survival Gardener/David The Good January 1, 2015 - 4:42 pm Fantastic!!! Reply Derek the Grower January 1, 2015 - 9:16 pm Still trying to figure out all the details on growing things at max capacity. This year I want to move massively closer to self sustaining. I feel the need to create my own feed. Happy New Year! Reply Survival Gardener/David The Good January 1, 2015 - 10:49 pm Excellent. For the last week, my wife and the children have all been spending an hour with me in the gardens, prepping, digging, planting and weeding. It's incredible how much has gotten done in a short period of time. Concerted daily effort = whoa. Reply Dr. Mom January 7, 2015 - 12:49 am Happy New Year! This year I want to learn to make cheese and homemade biscuits. I've never done either! I also want to be able to pull the bad plants (meaning poisonous) out of the garden before they bloom. I'm still learning the difference between what I plant and what just shows up! I wouldn't mind as long as they are actually edible.
