Reply visitor May 5, 2018 - 7:34 am Never heard of Jack Spirko, and his opinion is irrelevant to me. Reply Michael Moore May 5, 2018 - 8:19 pm That’s so funny, I was wondering if he would find it. Although I would tend to agree with you my dad has been watching Jack Spirko and Rob Bob for a while now and getting more and more interested in aquaponics, he is definitely a tinkerer. I don’t have time for that I work full time and have 5 kids, I’m just trying to grow what I can out of my piece of Texas sand. I still can’t find out were to get yams from. Reply David The Good May 9, 2018 - 9:27 am I bought some yams from Publix. Ethnic markets often have them, too. Look for “name” yams. Reply Michael Moore May 9, 2018 - 10:32 am The only ethnic market we have in town is a Mexican market, it could be worth a look. Our local grocery store surprises me some times with what I would consider exotic produce, maybe if I keep my fingers crossed they will carry yams some day. Reply visitor May 6, 2018 - 9:56 am Controversy drives video views. Here are controversial points: Permaculture is NOT practical, NOT cost-effective, and NOT sustainable long-term without free (“hippie”) labor inputs. Industrial agriculture concentrates production on less land, leaving more land available for wildlife and people. 🙂 Reply David The Good May 6, 2018 - 8:49 pm Oh yeah – that is a good one. There aren’t a lot of successful permaculture farms yet. Reply Leave a Reply to David The Good Cancel Reply Notify me of followup comments via e-mail. You can also subscribe without commenting.
