Farming isn’t easy, but it is satisfying. Running a plant nursery was the closest I got to farming. These young men and women are getting back to the roots of what made America great. It’s hard to get too upset or cause too many problems when you’re busy picking cucumbers and watering hens. Keep your hands in the soil and your eyes above.

Yes, it does have a way of keeping people grounded (pardon the pun). We’d be a whole lot better off if all these lefty SJWs, etc. were working on these new style farms instead of stewing in their indoctrination camps, constantly stirred up by the instigators. More people growing our food, in better ways, and society paying more of our money for food and less for “healthcare”; this is the way we need to go. How we get there I don’t have figured out.
Hard times, I would think. An economic implosion would drive people back to the land.
Of course this is an area in which the likes of you and I are caught between the left and right, these days. So many on the right reflexively push back against anything like this at all, as they can’t abide anything that “those nutty lefties” support. (And of course many on the left do the same kind of thing on other issues.)
But I think little by little that’s changing. Largely as a result of many on the right coming to see the agriculture issue through new eyes as they’ve embraced a more Paleo/Primal/Real Food/Low Carb/whatever approach to eating, and health.
I think it attracts the revolutionary types. Growing up in homeschooling circles, there was a lot of interest in healthy eating, plus people hated litter and unnecessary waste. Homeschool moms are cutting edge, though.
