Yesterday I was reading about a company named Weedingtech’s foam-based weed killing system known as “Foamstream”:
Apparently the system doesn’t use toxic chemicals.
According to their website:
“Foamstream is the award-winning new system of controlling weeds that harnesses the power of thermal technology. It kills weeds using a precise application of hot water and foam. Used throughout the amenity and water industries, it provides an effective method of herbicide-free weed control for the first time.”
Anything that gets us away from toxins like glysophate – or worse, Aminopyralid – is okay by me.
Though I kind of like this method:
I suppose foam is less likely to burn a neighborhood to the ground, but fire is quite satisfying.
As for me, I don’t use anything but a string trimmer to knock back weeds; however, I’m not maintaining a home in an HOA or trying to keep a public park beautiful.
We need innovation – it’s nice to see people developing alternative weed killers such as Foamstream.
